Blacktail Deer Hunt with new 7mm-08 Rem/Age Build

Wade O. of California sent us these pictures of his new 7mm-08 Rem/Age build that he used on his Blacktail deer hunt in California and this is what he had to say:  “When I got back from Australia I blueprinted the Remington 700 LA (off the original threads) and got the barrel on right before deer season. Only got 15 rounds through for break-in and the barrel was hardly fowling. Got a call to go out hunting and grabbed some Barnes TSX I had zeroed with after break-in and ended up getting a good sized 2×2 coastal blacktail deer. Barrel did amazing and made that the best CA hunt I have ever had. The rifle is ready for elk season in CO next month.”

Criterion Rem/Age 243 Win Match Build

Michael S. of New Jersey sent us pictures of his build and here is what he had to say: “I just wanted to reach out and give you a well deserved thank you! I finally have my rifle built, and had a chance to shoot it for the first time this weekend. After bore sighting at 50 yards, I moved out to 100 yards and fired five shots. Much to my disbelief I managed to sink 4 out of 5 shots nearly into the same hole. I don’t think I could ask for anything better. Again, thank you very much for your services and taking the time to answer all my many questions. Looking forward to having future builds with your products!”

Michael was using a Criterion 243 Win Match 28″ bull barrel, NSS precision ground recoil lug, NSS squared and trued barrel nut, APA Gen II Fat Bastard muzzle brake, a trued Remington 700 action and a XLR Industries Evolution Chassis.
