6.5x47 Lapua Build

Michael B. of New York shared another great video and some info on his recent Criterion Barrels, Inc. 6.5X47 Lapua build purchased from Northland Shooters Supply (NSS).


Michael purchased:

  • 28” Criterion large shank bull barrel in 6.5×47 Lapua with an 8 twist.
  • NSS precision ground recoil lug
  • NSS squared and trued barrel nut and a go gauge.

Here is what Michael had to say:

“The group with the 6.5 x47 is only 100 yards. I was doing load development using 123 SMKs. I use Whidden bushing dies with less than 1 thou runout. That barrel shoots everything from 123-140’s very well. Thanks and have a good day!”
