BIGHORN ARMS ORIGIN – MEDIUM ACTION

Description

Northland Shooters Supply (NSS) offers Zermatt Arms/Bighorn Arms TL3, SR3, and Origin custom actions. These actions pair with Savage small shank barrels (1-1/16″ x 20 TPI) and have a Remington 700 footprint (accepts Remington 700 stocks, chassis, and triggers).

NSS is currently stocking the Origin Right hand short, medium and long actions and the Origin Left hand short, medium and long actions with Nitride or Beadblast finish (beadblast sold exclusively at NSS).

The Origin is a Zermatt Arms Inc designed action that incorporates features from the Bighorn TL3 and SR3 line of actions. This action is machined from 416 stainless steel. The Origin long and short actions come standard with standard Remington style feed lips for BDL (hinged floorplate) internals and all AICS pattern magazines. Medium length action accepts MDT XM AICS magazines, Hawkins Hunter Detachable box magazines, and Wyatt’s Short Action Mid length kit.

• Medium actions will NOT work with standard Remington 700 short or long action stocks or chassis, you will need a medium length stock or chassis
• Medium actions will NOT work with Short or long action AICS magazines. You can use MDT XM mags.
• Medium actions will NOT work with Remington 700 short or long action BDL/hinged floor plate. You can only use the Wyatts Short action mid length kit
• Medium actions will NOT work with Remington 700 short or long action bottom metal.  You can use Hawkins M5 DBM, Hawkins Precision M5 Oberndorf, or Hawkins Hunter DBM

Along with picking your Zermatt Arms/Bighorn Arms action, you will need to choose which bolt head, rail, and bolt knob you would like for your action.
