BIGHORN ARMS SR3 – MEDIUM ACTION

Description

Northland Shooters Supply (NSS) offers Zermatt Arms/Bighorn Arms TL3, SR3, and Origin custom actions. These actions pair with Savage small shank barrels (1-1/16″ x 20 TPI) and have a Remington 700 footprint (accepts Remington 700 stocks, chassis, and triggers).

For the SR3 model, NSS is currently stocking the SR3 Short action (REM 700 feed lips and Wyatt’s extended mag cut) and the SR3 Long action (REM 700 feed lips and Wyatt’s extended mag cut).

This action is machined from pre-hardened 416 stainless steel. The SR3 is a Bighorn Arms variant of the TL3 where the SR3 has feedlips and the TL3 does not. This difference allows for different magazine well options. The SR3 has options for standard Remington 700 (ADL, BDL, and AICS mags), Wyatt’s Extended, single shot, and single-shot extended magazine wells. The SR3 also has a larger ejection port in order to feed rounds from the top.

• Medium actions will NOT work with standard Remington 700 short or long action stocks or chassis, you will need a medium length stock or chassis
• Medium actions will NOT work with Short or long action AICS magazines. You can use MDT XM mags.
• Medium actions will NOT work with Remington 700 short or long action BDL/hinged floor plate. You can only use the Wyatts Short action mid length kit
• Medium actions will NOT work with Remington 700 short or long action bottom metal.  You can use Hawkins Precision M5 Oberndorf, or Hawkins Hunter DBM
