Bighorn Arms Origin Paired with A Criterion 6.5 Creedmoor

Gene R. of Texas reached out regarding his build with products purchased from Northland Shooters Supply (NSS). Gene bought the following products for his build.
- Bighorn Arms Origin Action
- 26″ Criterion 6.5 Creedmoor in an MTU contour
- NSS squared and trued barrel nut
- NSS 4″ barrel nut wrench
- Manson Reamers 6.5 Creedmoor go gauge
- American Precision Arms (APA) Gen II Little Bastard muzzle brake
Gene had the following to say about his build.
“I wanted to send a couple of pics and a few comments on the components that I recently purchased. The assembly was scary easy and the results were scary good. Yesterday’s trip to the range was really just to test things out and get a few shots down the tube. I went through a pretty standard break-in, cleaning between shots, and getting it sighted in. I attached a pic of shots 15 thru 20, the first 5 shot group at 100 yards. The resulting 1/4 moa group was impressive! It is going to be a hammer…Thanks again!!”
Gene was using hand-loads, 140 grain Barnes Match Burner over 40.5gr of H4350. A load that he developed for an RPR and adjusted the length to work with the new barrel. Chassis is a Masterpiece Arms BA Comp in NRA blue. The scope is Vortex Viper HS-T 6-24.
