Northland Shooters Supply (NSS) offers American Precision Arms (APA) Gen 2 and Gen 3 muzzle brakes. They are a directional self timing muzzle brake which means you no longer need to use crush washers or have a gunsmith time your muzzle brake. The APA Gen 3 is designed the same as the Gen II with an additional port on both sides as well as top ports for adjusting muzzle jump and lateral movement.

The APA Gen 3 Muzzle Brake is a self timing muzzle brake and is well suited for the off-hand, run-and-gun, competitor. This lightweight, tunable, self-timing brake features a new nut design and additional port. This new technology allows the shooter to combat recoil, muzzle rise, and lateral movement.
The new lock-nut design also helps with perfect muzzle placement, no carbon ring, no over-rotation, and a stronger lock-up.
