Shooting Success with A Criterion 6mm Creedmoor
Dave H. from North Dakota reached out regarding his 6mm Creedmoor Criterion barrel build that he purchased from Northland Shooters Supply (NSS).
Dave purchased the following products from NSS
- 24″ Criterion 6mm Creedmoor in a Heavy Sporter contour with 8 twist
- NSS Squared and Trued Barrel Nut
Dave had the following to say about his build.
“Other than a 6 BR this is the easiest tuning cartridge ever. I spun it on a stock Savage model 11 Accustock with a target spring in the Accutrigger. I have just over 200 rounds and all groups including ALL load development averaged in the .3s.
Great barrel, after the initial break-in of shoot 1 clean, shoot 2 clean, then shoot 3 and clean, it’s caught no copper since round three.
I’ve lost count of how many Shilen & Criterion barrels I’ve got from you but I’ve been able to tune every one of them to shoot like this.
Here is a picture of a couple of three-shot groups from 100 yards using H4350 powder. I will probably order a 28″ Large shank before spring. Thanks!”
Thanks for the note Dave. Happy shooting!
