1000-Yard F/TR Rifle Build

Brent B. sent us an update and more photos of his Criterion Barrels, Inc. 308 Win F/TR barrel build purchased from Northland Shooters Supply (NSS).

Here are a few of the components Brent used for his build:

• 30” – Criterion- 308 F/TR chamber- large shank bull barrel contour- 10 twist
• NSS Precision ground recoil lug
• NSS squared and trued barrel nut
• NSS action wrench
• NSS 4” barrel nut wrench
• Forster headspace gauges

Here is what Brent had to say:

“Thanks, I really appreciate your assistance. Same rifle, Savage F/TR with 30” Criterion barrel in 308, all your tools and gauges. Also the same load, 185 Berger Hybrid. It’s only a 3-shot group, but that is how the Army trained me. 1,000 yards at Dead Zero Shooting Park, Spencer, TN last year. Shots number 1 and 3 are probably touching. Not bad for a 308.”
