6 GT build

James R. of South Dakota sent us some photos and info on his 6 GT build using a Criterion barrel and Aero Solus action purchased from Northland Shooters Supply.

Here are some of the details on the components James used:

Here is what he had to say about his build:
“I just wanted to thank you for your help setting up my 6GT. My build is a 26” Criterion MTU contour on a Aero Solus action.  Presently it sits in a MDT ACC chassis.  Athlon Cronus BTR Gen 1 helps aim the projectiles. Trigger is an Elftman Rem 700 trigger. The brake is the new ATS Tuner brake.

I have yet to shoot over an inch with the gun.  I had to move load development to 200 yards because at 100 I can’t tell what they are doing.  The Barrel has shot Hornady, Bergers, and Sierra’s with pinpoint accuracy.  I can’t rave more about this build and the barrels you provide. It will not be my last.

I have played with Varget and H4350 powders. I have the most H4350 at the moment so that’s what I’m running.

The attached groups were all shot at 200 yards. These are the bullets used on the targets posted from left to right.

  • .245″ Group is the 107 SMK
  • .404 is the Hornady 108 ELDMs
  • .367 group is the 109 Bergers”
