Shilen 6BR Norma 12 twist

Ron E. of Ohio sent us some photos of his recent 6BR Norma build using a Shile Rifles barrel purchased from Northland Shooters Supply.

Very impressive shooting.

Here are the specs on the barrel:

• 26” Shilen stainless select match- small shank Savage- bull contour- 12 twist with muzzle thread- throated to Ron’s dummy rounds
• NSS thread protector
• NSS precision ground recoil lug
• NSS squared and trued barrel nut

Here is what Ron had to say:

“That barrel shoots one-hole groups at 100 yds. Attached is a target we shot doing a powder test. I think we found the node! I was shooting a 75-grain Hornady VMAX over 31.0 grains of Hodgdon Varget powder. It shot just as good with 31.5 gr Varget.”
