Criterion 6XC Build Success

Steve S. of California reached out regarding his Criterion 6XC build purchased from Northland Shooters Supply. Steve purchased the following products:

  • 26″ Criterion 6XC in a Varmint Contour
  • NSS Wheeler Wrench Cap
  • NSS Taper Loc

Steve had the following to share regarding his build.

“Here are my best 5 shots at 100 yards shooting left-handed on the bench. It was a cool sunshine day with a cold breezy wind. In the first picture, I was using the following components and load:

  • Savage 110 Tactical,
  • 6XC Criterion barrel, 26”, 6 groove, 1:7 Twist
  • 80 gn. Berger Varmint FB @ 3025 fps
  • Over, 38.0 gn. H4350.

In the second picture, I was using the following components and load:

  • Savage 110 Tactical,
  • 6XC Criterion barrel, 26”, 6 groove, 1:7 Twist
  • 105 gn. Nosler Custom Comp @ 2870 fps
  • Over, 37.6 gn. H4350.

Looks like it’s going to be a shooter for me!”
