The NSS Precision Ground Savage recoil lugs are a heavy duty recoil lug design that incorporates a 0.244″ thickness with parallel precision ground surfaces. The NSS recoil lug is designed for Savage small and large shank actions.

All NSS recoil lugs are heat-treated to a range of 38 to 42 Rockwell hardness for product integrity. The reason for the precision ground recoil lug is to eliminate misalignment of the barrel to the receiver which is caused by a recoil lug that is not perfectly flat.
