“Just sending you an email to let you know how my Savage model 12 project is coming out. 

It has a:

  • Shilen select match 8 ratchet barrel
  • Accurate mag AICS bottom metal
  • Timney 638 trigger
  • Sightron SIII 36×45 ED scope
  • Lapua brass

I refinished the Wood laminate stock with Minwax antique oil finish and 8 coats of poly. Enclosed is a picture of a 200 yard ladder test. It likes 29.9 grains of Varget, CCI BR4 primers, and 107 Sierra SMK bullets seated .020” off the lands. I like the traditional wood look. It is my 440 yard local match gun.
