SHILEN 6BR NORMA SAVAGE BUILD

Dave of Colorado sent us some photos of his Shilen 6BR Norma build. 

Here are the specs on the barrel he ordered from Northland Shooters Supply:

Here is what Dave had to say about his build:

“Well, I finally did a barrel break-in and got some load development started for the Shilen 8 twist 6BR barrel I recently purchased from NSS. The bore is super smooth and cleans quickly, and it is shooting some tight groups ALREADY (brown colored target with 108 ELDM’s).

I was able to get back to the range today (in the wind) with the purpose of trying some of the new Hornady Aeromatch 105 gr 6mm bullets (the white target) with 29.6 grains of Varget in my new Shilen 6mm BR barrel.

The MDT chassis is nearly stock. I added a single-shot sled in place of the magazine, installed a JARD trigger and modified the cheekpiece adjustment screws.

I can definitely say it won’t be the last barrel I purchase from you!”
