The MDT XRS forend weight adds weight to the forend (front section) of your rifle to help fine tune the balance of your rifle and reduce felt recoil. You do not need to remove the barreled action or chassis forend to install this weight. It simply slides in from the end of your chassis and is held in with the included hardware.
