Earl M. of Idaho recently shared photos and details of his impressive build using components he purchased from Northland Shooters Supply.

  • Barrel: 22” Shilen Stainless Select Match, Small Shank Savage, Bull Contour, 6 PPC (.270” Neck), 13.5 twist
  • Action: Zermatt Arms TL3, Right-Hand Short Action, DLC finish
  • Barrel Nut: NSS Squared and Trued

Here’s what Earl had to say about his build:
“Here’s another build using the TL3 and barrel I got from you recently.  The barrel is a Shilen 6 PPC 13.5 twist, 22” bull barrel I got from you quite a while ago.  The chassis is an XLR Element folder.  
I went to the range this morning to zero a new March scope and shoot a few 5 shot groups at 100 yards.  Shot a decent 5 shot group with 29 grains of  Vihtavuori N133 and Bart’s 68 grain FBs.  (Caliper zeroed at .243)

I used Norma brass.  I got tired of making it out of Lapua 220 Russian so I bought a bunch of Norma brass when it was available.  Alpha has started making PPC brass but it’s hard to get right now.”
