Shilen 6mm Creedmoor VLD Build

James W. of Texas sent us some photos of his 6mm Creedmoor VLD build using a Shilen barrel purchased from Northland Shooters Supply.

Here are the specs on some of the parts used in his build:

• 26” Shilen- Stainless Select Match- Large Shank – Bull Contour- 6mm Creedmoor VLD- 7.5 Ratchet Twist- 11 deg Crown
• NSS Precision Ground Recoil Lug
• NSS Squared and Trued Barrel Nut
• NSS Action Wrench
• NSS 11” Barrel Nut Wrench
• Forster Headspace Gauges

Here is what James had to say about his build:
“I’ve just completed the Savage build and used Hornady Factory ammo for the initial sight-in. The following week I took some of my handloads (108 Hornady ELD Match over 40.0 grains of H4350, Federal 210M primers). Here are my first three shots from a cold, clean bore at 100 yards.
