SHILEN 6GT BUILD
Robert from Arkansas sent us targets and details from his 6GT build. Here are the parts he purchased from NSS:

Here’s what Robert had to say about his build:
“I recently purchased a 26″ Shilen Stainless Select Match barrel in 6GT from Northland Shooters Supply, along with the associated tools — action wrench, go/no-go gauges, etc. What I really appreciated about the experience is that you have to call to order. It might sound old-school, but being able to speak directly with someone to verify that my prep work and parts list were correct gave me a lot of confidence before making the purchase.
I’ve had a custom rifle built for me before, but this was the first one I assembled myself. The team at Northland made the process easy and stress-free, and their quick turnaround once I was ready to pull the trigger (pardon the pun) was excellent.
The attached target (target on the right with Ballistic-X report) shows the second string from the rifle with a load I picked completely at random, no load development and no formal break in period. — new Hornady brass, Winchester WSR primers, 109 ELD-M, and 32.7 grains of Varget, with a 1.9455” base-to-ogive. I tested six random loads that first outing, and every one of them shot sub-MOA, with the worst coming in at 0.92″.
Long story short: I’m extremely happy with the Shilen barrel and with Northland Shooters Supply for their customer service, helpfulness, and fast shipping. Great experience all around.
