SAVAGE 30-06 BUILD

30-06 Criterion Barrels Inc. Build

Austin K. of Tennessee sent us some photos of his recent Savage 30-06 build using a Criterion Barrels Inc. barrel purchased from Northland Shooters Supply.

Here are Austin’s specs on his order:

  • 26” Criterion barrel- varmint contour- 30-06 with a 10 twist
  • NSS precision ground recoil lug
  • NSS squared and trued barrel nut

Here is what Austin had to say about his build:

“The group in the picture was shot with 150 grain Sierra Match Kings and H380 powder but it likes 175gr Sierra match kings and IMR4350 a little better.

It’s a Savage 110 action with a 26in criterion varmint contour 30-06 barrel. Also has a Glades Armory bolt handle, fluted bolt body and Bell and Carlson stock; also has northland shooters barrel nut and lug.”
